February 20th, 2016 - Rip Current's Export Stout packs a pleasant experience in an easily digestible stout. It looks inky black like any of the other stouts here, but the aroma is creamy and fresh, with a good malt roastiness, but none of the sharpness of the heavier stouts and barrel aged brethren. The flavor is also very smooth and not overly light, with a smack of glue in the long, echoing aftertaste. It is a straight forward flavor, but smooth and drinkable, but also with a depth of flavor that invites measured drinking, not quaffing.
