L: A very dark brown with a finger of mocha head - to a sparse cap. Average retention and spotted lacing.
S: Nose is good coffee at the forefront, some nutty and chocolate notes.
T: Roasted malts and dark brewed coffee. Subtle vanilla and cocoa.
F: A bit watery but again this is more coffee than beer.
O: So if that’s an alright prospect then you should enjoy this brew.

If I had to pick a staple beer from San Diego, this would be the one. Lots of coffee, comes in a can (easy to recycle), and big enough to do the job if you want to enjoy yourself playing some games in the evening. 6pk for ~$14 is a great deal for this beer!

12 oz can thanks to blipp’s FBW contest. Aroma is coffee, vanilla, chocolate. Pours a dark dark brown, nearly black, with a one finger beige head with decent retention and some lace. Taste is sweet and chocolaty, a little earthy, roasty, mild licorice. Tasty.

Golden brown murky colored pour with a slight canopy of froth that settles to layer of wisp on top. Spots of lacing dot the glass and the fresh roasted coffee aroma rises up. Roasted malts, char, and coffee make up the flavor and the feel is medium though a little watery but, this doesn't take away from the experience. Overall, this was a fantastic coffee imperial porter I wish I had more of!
