I'm definitely getting a cherry note from this, maybe from the wheatwine? Colder, it smells like a charred caramel. Warmer, it smells like boozy cherry cordial with a little bit of chocolate. Looks like a stout mixed with a wee heavy, which it is. I'm getting a cherry imperial stout taste up front followed by some caramel. You know, this may sound weird, but this reminds me of Jam the Radar, which is a good thing! I loved Jam the Radar. I'm getting a mix of flavors but definitely some kind of fruit. What would make this a 10 (or 5) for me, is to bring up the viscosity a little.
I love Rip Current's BA releases, notably their BA Black Lagoon. The BA Dangerous Undertow was nearly as good. The No Hope for Rescue was f awesome. Kind of interested in their sours, but I'm not real big on sours. I love Rip Current. Really enjoying this release and happy they moved to 16.9 vs 22oz so you don't feel bad about taking on a whole bottle yourself, although, my favorite format, which seems to bring down the price point on most beers somewhat, is a canned 4pk. Also, it's nice to find a really great beer that you're not potentially buying just to trade; you're buying it because you love the brewery and you know it will be awesome and you plan on drinking it. ALSO, I love that they super-age some of their BA stuff. Their latest release was aged 28+ months in Woodford Reserve barrels :) Please keep up the awesome releases!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
