10 oz pour at the brewery. Pours dark auburn brown with a thin film head (soft pour), but that film head never dissipated. Nose is sweet caramel malts and brown bread. Taste is initially sweet malt syrup, but followed by a twang that is hard to place...could be the madeira or perhaps the first hint of a souring. Creamy mouthfeel balanced by ample carbonation. Overall, a good beer that didn't realize it's full potential.
