Light Becomes Her Apricot is a barrel aged, sour golden beer with a hint of apricot sweetness, for the perfect balance of flavour.
We brew a rich golden ale and then put it in our foeder (a big oak barrel) to ferment and mature over 6 months. Our Foudre has unique, live cultures in the wood that help the beer to sour and the flavours to develop over time, making every batch unique.
Once the live cultures have got to work creating a lovely sour beer, we add the ripe apricots and leave to mature. Those apricots share their sweet ripe flavours with the beer and Light Becomes Her is born.

Copenhagen 8/2 2022. 37,5 cl chubby bottle from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Golden orange label in foil with silhouettes of monstrous stick figures.
Pours opaque hazy, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin but consistent layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sharp, tart and citric scent with only a light sweet fruity odor for balance. Funky notes. Tart and sour gooseberries, citrus and lemon. Sour cheese. Whiff of vinegar. Hints of sweet apricot.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong sourness. Aftertaste is a little thin. Sour. Lingers for a bit. Finish is dry.
Very much on the sour side - but a little thin in flavor.
