Lightly chilled growler into a shaker pint.
Look- Nice medium amber hue, clear. Minimal head from the growler.
Smell- Pungent, pine and tangerine. Somewhat sweet. Pretty standard notes, but well done and appealing.
Taste- Resin, lime and tonic water. Lingering lime and just a little sweetness. Very nice, straightforward but delicious. The lime-ness of it is rather unique.
Mouthfeel- Medium-full body, medium carbonation. Finish on the dry side, a little gritty and cottony, but only in a good way. Interesting, I'm finding I like it.
Overall- I quite like this, and it's very reasonably priced for a punchy IPA. Somewhere in the neighborhood of Dreamcrusher DIPA, but the lower ABV and price makes it much more approachable. I'll definitely seek out other Fort Bend brews to try after this.
