everyone seems to be doing a pumpkin sour these days, and this is another good one. cool how quickly these guys went from not making sour beer at all to making some very good (and interesting) ones! definitely high competence in the brew house here. lighter shade of orange, pale in color, just a little haze, a lot of white head with great retention. aroma of vegetal earthy squash, you can really appreciate the pumpkin itself all the way though. its only minimally spiced, with a touch of cinnamon it seems, a graham crackery malt base, and a citrusy light vinegar sour profile, bacterial and very much alive. the flavor is much like the nose, slight honey from the malt, raw real pumpkin, and the sourness which is fairly high but also really clean. they were smart to let this dry out a bit, and they were smart to not spice it too much. great flavors here that really work together. a very pleasant surprise. always a joy drinking beer in here too, these guys are always doing something creative! light body high carbonation, weird beer but very fall in its own way!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
