From growler. Pours very hazy dark gold with a huge bubbly white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is tropical fruit with some coconut and some resiny hops.

The flavor is sweet bready malt with tropical fruit and a lot of slightly toasted coconut followed by big slightly harsh bitter resiny hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, an interesting fruity resiny IPA. The coconut goes pretty well.

a coconut ipa, trendy right now, but it makes sense, all this tropical fruit character that is possible from some of the newer hops in the game makes the addition of coconut to a style like this more than sensible, and i have liked almost all of these that i have had so far. the menu says it has a ton of coconut in it, but its not intense to me in either the nose or the taste, even mild when i drink it, fleshy and natural, but well behind all the hops in here. its interestingly bitter, more of a classic west coast ipa as a base than i have seen in other coconut hoppy types, and i like the bitterness it finishes with, it adds an element of refreshment to it for me. the hops are nice, not overly juicy and dry hoppy either, but i get light melon grapefruit, and pineapple in the complexion, all of which go great with the clean coconut in here. i like whats happening in the taste, but there couple be a little more of all of it. the coconut kind of comes and goes and never gets real strong, and the hops lose themselves to the finishing bitterness a little more quickly than i would like them too. still, this is tasty and fresh and drinkable, and i like the reserved nature of the coconut overall, but a little more wouldnt hurt i dont think!
