I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a light haze and a light effervescence. Head is a thin layer of white foam.
Smell: lightly fruity and boozy. Pretty character-ful for the style.
Taste: lightly fruity flavor with a definite alcohol character. Hops are light and lemony, if anything. Bitterness is moderate to light. Pretty good for a malt liquor.
Mouthfeel: medium rich body with a good carbonation and a surprisingly great creaminess.
Overall: nicely drinkable for the style. It's still a malt liquor, but not bad for that.

Clear golden amber in the pint nonic with a modest foam. Pleasantly tingly with a definite malty mouthfeel. A little flat after some sipping.
Quite sweet from the first taste, but in a deep fruity way that is not at all bad. Blackberries, beets, and a candy taste. This is more like a big sugary Belgian Ale than any malt liquor. Hops are quite reticent, as advertised, though there is a slight bitter finish. Claimed to be 27 IBUs. Tangy and spicy, which adds some balance.
Wheaty sort of taste that is rather pleasant. If this had some Belgian yeast with that drying effect it would be stupendous. On tap at the brewery restaurant in Bellevue.
