Blind Dutch Bockbier tasting fall 2019
Not much foam, instable too, very dark, black and with light through it ruby 3.5
coffee, vanilla, 3.5
taste is sweet, more milk chocolate and less coffe, alcohol burn in aftertaste rather than bitterness for balance, there is something that reminds me of a Bavarian Dunkel for some reason 4
looks flat but got a good bite from carbonation that works well to lift the sweetness, body is full but not too much 4.25
quite nice bockbier on the sweeter and alcoholic side, clearly a sipper but not overly complex 4
Just saw after blind tasting that this was bottom fermented, which explains my Dunkel connection and the lack of complexity (no esters!). Plus this was brewed with figs, which makes totally sense when I taste it now but could not pin it when drinking.

De Hopt. En copa Teku. Jugando a Odium to the Core, luego a Los Pilares de la Tierra. Supercarbonatada, aunque en boca no está mal, tiene un dulzor acaramelado agradable aunque tampoco dice mucho

Nice brown/ruby colour, but the thin layer of foam isn't impressive. Decent smell of figs, caramel, liquorice and malt. Taste follows with the same flavours. The sharpness from this bottom fermented bock is nice, but the balance seems a bit off due to the added figs.
