Got this from the Mitra in Maarssen. Cheers!

Imperial pastry stout with lactose, vanilla, apple, Cinnamon & Bourbon
APPEARANCE: Pours out transparent light brown, like Coke, and yields a one finger, looser looking, foamy, crackly light brown head with okay retention. Clear bistre brown body with no real carbonation evident. Head recedes to a faint wisp and ring. Looks mostly flat by the end.
SMELL: Some lactose sugars, cinnamon notes and plenty of apple aroma on the nose. A hint of milk chocolate and some solid vanilla, but this has definitely got some apple pie going on.
TASTE: Lactose sugars, some definite apple, with bourbon flavors and some alcohol at the swallow. Definite apple pie character. Bold finish of lactose, milk chocolate, some decent vanilla beans, apple pie, a touch of bourbon and some alcohol linger on the palate. Mostly as advertised.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Slightly lighter on the palate, goes down fine and finishes somewhat mouth-coating. A bit of heat lingers.
OVERALL: Well, the label certainly doesn’t lie. It smells like apples and tastes much like apple pie. Unfortunately the look is far too light and the stout not bold and roasted enough, but if you’re looking for apple pie beer, this one will probably do the trick. The trouble is, I’m not sure I or anyone in their right mind should be looking for apple pie beer. Who looks for such a thing? Only someone who's lead a depressingly deprived life. That’s not Kompaan’s fault though. It says apple pie beer, and that’s what we got. Solidly done with the adjuncts, but the base imperial stout could have been much richer. Worth checking out but know what you’re getting into first.
