On tap at the Barnyard, Williston, VT.
The appearance was a thick brown color with a thin foamy cap of a little white head. Mild lace, somewhat stringy.
The aroma was absolutely majestic! Meshing the sweet and roasty tones of coffee, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, caramel, toffee, nuts - leaning to pecans more or less and then the rye barrel comes in sweetly and semi-spicy.
The flavor mirrored the aroma pretty spot on and lends a nice balance of it all in the after taste with a touch of vanilla and cocoa powder.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Smooth finish with the appropriate level of spicy harshness.
Overall, oh dear lord, this was phenomenal! If Foley is reading this, you better bottle or can this!
