A pale ale that's as smooth and versatile as it is flavorful. Just the right combination of American hops to produce an aroma, bitterness and taste that you will find yourself coming back to again and again, for all kinds of purposes. Just like that trusty Jackknife you've carried for as long as you can remember.

Smooth, yet flavorful, has that Iowa grain feel. This was I think the first true craft beer I ever had, it used to be called "The Answer", delish!

A little bit of a lemon flavor in it, and some other mild citrus flavors that don't add anymore bitterness to it. All right, but can be outdone by Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale.

Draft at the source. Hazy copper orange body with a thin but lasting white collar. Malty, bready aroma with hop character emerging more in the flavor than the nose. Light citrus and toasted bread. Would like more hops vs. malt.

Style I had on tap was a GPA. Easy drinking with a decided German Malt/Hop flavor profile. Nice.
