Our Marzen is an amber colored beer with a complex malty flavor with a spicy dry finish. In Germany this beer is traditionally brewed in March and rolled out for the biggest beer festival of the year, Oktoberfest.

Really excited to have a brewery finally so close to my home. Big fan of Octoberfest beers and was hoping for a bit more out of this one. Served in a Backpocket glass. Aroma of nice toasty malts is there. A bit nutty, with the malts showing through. A bit too thin and watery for my liking though. Was hoping for more.

a: served in a unique branded lager glass, this marzen is the color of solidified pine sap and sports a well-retained off white head
s: lots of toasted, malty munich and vienna malts on the nose give a well-rounded marzen aroma that's maybe a bit on the maltier side than is typical, but otherwise fits perfectly within style guidelines, mild noble hop aroma
m: carbonation on the light side of medium, medium bodied
t: malty toasted German grains on the palate, full and carrying flavors of toasted sugars, dry leaves in the back with a benign hop flavor and crisp bitterness in the finish, though perhaps a little heavier than would be ideal
d: easy, a fine example of the style
