This is a very smooth and creamy, yet dry, roasty stout. it has the delicate aroma of fresh chocolate and roasted barley. The flavor is well balanced with the subtle fruity characteristics of an Irish Ale yeast fermentation and rich layers of chocolate, coffee, and dry roasted malts.

Poured like used motor oil with a dark tan head billowing up the glass.
Aroma speaks of roasted malts, and coffee and cocoa. I did not pick up on any bitterness.
The taste was very good considering the 5.3% ABV, very full bodied of stout with just enough bitterness to keep it from going sweet.
The feel is very pleasant, full bodied and viscous but not so much that you feel the need to sip. Good thing to.
OA- excellent version of the Irish dry stout that I plan on getting more of.

Enjoyed this beer at Hop Cat Holland, Michigan. The description/notes of this beer on this page is spot on. Bitter chocolate comes to mind. Very good and on Style. I recommend this beer to those who like dry Irish stouts as I do.

It seems that I'm the high rater on this one. I really enjoyed it in 2016, and heard more recently that it won a silver medal at the 2017 GABF. I haven't had many beers in this style, but this one is really excellent.

Poured from a growler (awesome logo for a fly fisherman) into a paper cup at deer camp. Not ideal, but I had to try this one.
A: Dark roasty brownish black in appearance with fairly decent head.
S: Mild hints of coffee and chocolate.
T: Fairly well balanced stout with a slight coffee aftertaste.
M: A little light for my tastes.
O: A very serviceable stout. I'm going to have to make my way to RBC and sample some more of their offerings.
