Rail Trail Flatbread Co in Hudson, Ma. is known for its brick over flatbread pizza. They have an extensive tap list and really good food. Pizza, burgers and some really interesting small plates along with some meals and salads. Flights are available and wine, along with a rotating tap list. The service is excellent, well informing and extremely friendly waitstaff hustle in this very busy restaurant.
It's located in a nice area, plenty of parking, a really good creamery across the street and 2 breweries within walking distance.

Cool spot in downtown Hudson, very comfortable. Pizza making in view at entrance & to most of dining tables.

Beer selection is MA-focused. Which is ok in theory but the obscure ones here are mediocre. Prices are ok, borderline high for this far-suburban burgh.

Staff are OK but a bit stiff & plastic, it's just pizza here guys, chill.

Where this place falls apart is the food. Big price tag for a very mediocre & sparsely populated sheet. Weak flavorless sauce & marginal crust, sausage topping was meh & lacking too.

Won't be back - if in the area again and seeking beer, I'll just head to the Horseshoe.

Nice place, 20 taps with lots of great beers, many locals too, served in the right glass mostly. A few bottles as well. Friendly and helpful staff. The bartender was very friendly and helpful and knew her stuff. Some casual diners, families, and beer geeks all mingling somehow peacefully.

Pizza is served in a big wood fired oven and is delicious, the other good looks great and artisan like, but everything is on the expensive side.

The bar is nice, bright dark colored wood bar, speckled decor with a hint of a farmhouse feel, big wooden pillars, open kitchen, nice vibrant atmosphere. It can get pretty busy and there aren't a lot of seats so be prepared to wait.

I'll def come back when I can, do a little pub crawl in Hudson, between here, horseshoe pub, and Medusa, but probably only end up here in the end.

great place to get farm fresh local fair and solid beer. Wish their beer was a little better considering the prices, beer is a step below outstanding ratings. A great place though!

Always packed but worth the wait. One of our fav date night spots. Hangout and score a seat at the bar. Enjoy best brews and top notch cocktails. Love it when they have Wormtown on tap. The wings are to die for and yet to have a bad meal from this kitchen.

Love this place. Bartenders are awesome and know a lot about what they are pouring. The 25 or so taps change regularly so there is always something new to try.

The flatbreads are great, not to be missed.

You really can't do better in Central Massachusetts than this place, save Armsby or Dive Bar in Worcester, as far as selection and atmosphere are concerned. Rail Trail is basically an institution in Hudson now, when just five or so years ago downtown was a ghost town. With RT opening, then expanding to the microcreamy and speakeasy, they've truly changed the dynamic of downtown Hudson which is nice to see after so many years of dive bars being the only option in the area. Sometimes I think I'm in Cambridge after a few hours and a few beers inside this warm and cozy space. Killer cocktails and their spirits are top notch. Barrel-aged gin! The food is the best around. Consistently great tap selection. Great bartenders and servers. And they rotate their menu based on the seasons. I can't say enough about this place.

Rail Trail is a fairly new restaurant to Main St. Hudson, but in almost a year it has definitely made a name for its self. The atmosphere of the place is very nice doesn't seem to fancy but its also not a dive. The people working there are very nice and the managers even come over and chat with the customers sometimes. This is one of the few places that I have been to where I have never had a bad meal, witch is rare. The flatbreads are the best around and you can tell they take pride in there menu. Now for the important stuff. The Beer. Few places in the area (with the exception of the horseshoe) have taps like they do. There is not a fizzy yellow beer on tap. What we do get is beers like, Hoponious Union, Hopulence, Be Hoppy, RuinTen, Woot Stout, and Hop Devil just to name a few. They will also give you a taste of a beer if your curious what its like but they also do flights if you want to try a few at a time. In my opinion if you get a chance you should try out the good food, good beer, and meet some great people.

I just made my first visit to this place with some friends after work. I love the atmosphere (well lit, exposed brick, wood decor, custom crafted furniture, not too loud). The service was wonderful with everyone extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. As I waited by the bar with two friends (waiting for three more to arrive) I inquired about a table, and the hostess said that if we wanted to keep waiting at the bar, she'd be sure to let us know when there was only one table left so we'd be sure to get it. That's above and beyond in my book. 20 taps, but every one of them something really good, with plenty of variety and many locals. The food is also really good, with everything hand made and a lot of unusual and delicious appetizer choices. I actually didn't love the pizza, but it was pretty good and cooked in an awesome looking wood fired brick oven. The prices for everything were very reasonable. My buddies and I agree -- we've found our new after work place to go!

Ate dinner at a table, on a wednesdat night, 1/23/13.

Atmo - nice mix of white and blue collar. The bar has a nice energy without being obnoxious. I saw as many workboots as I did dress shoes.

Quality - this is some of the best pizza I have ever had. Seriously. I had buffalo chicken and my wife had a spinach and feta. Both were outstanding. Our calamari app was also very good. We didn't have room for dessert.

Service - Our server was Sarah. Honestly I would not have changed anything. Food came out at a great times, she was attentive without being oppressive, my wife ordered a fancy cocktail(s) and it was excellent and came out of the bar quickly. Sarah had a very welcoming and pleasant manner.

Selection - 20 craft beer taps. All good stuff. Giving this a lower score because the menu was different from the website and both were different from what was actually on tap. If you spot your favorite on the website and that is your reason for going, call ahead as it might not be there.

Food - see quality.

Value - I had 2 Hercules Double Ipa, a buff chicken pizza, and my wife had 2 fancy cocktails and a spinach pizza. We split calamari. Total came to 55 bones. I thought this was quite reasonable.

Overall - my wife and I will definitely be back. Great little spot in downtown Hudson Ma. Less selection than the Horseshoe (80 taps) in Hudson, but the food blows it away.

Rail Trail just opened a couple weeks ago and definitely deserves a visit from all interested folks.
Rustic, somewhat western style feel inside with an open wood fire oven just in the door on the left. The place has been very crowded so far and all that have gone have been pleased. Full bar with about 20 beers on tap and a modest bottle list that is meant just to compliment the draft offerings.

Service at the bar and table were both excellent. Bar tenders were friendly and quickly offered a sample when it was appropriate. Tap list was a mix of some nice locals, (Jack’s Abbey, Wormtown, High & Mighty) Boston standards, (Harpoon & Sam Adams ) and some other nice craft options.. (Weinstephaner Dunkel, Founder’s Breakfast Stout, Maine Peeper Ale, Lagunita’s IPA) While I didn’t have one, it appeared that they had an interesting cocktail menu as well.
Food was very good. The main focus is the wood fired pizza’s. We also enjoyed the stuffed pepper appetizer and I enjoyed that quite a bit.

Very excited to have this option in Hudson and will be visiting often. If you’re in the area or frequent the Horseshoe, you definitely need to stop here.
