Serving: On tap at the Alibi Room 14.5 oz tulip glass.
Appearance: Clear, tawny amber. Scarce off white head and little lacing.
Smell: Complex roasted grains, sour funk and some savory (umami) notes.
Taste: Clear but restrained tartness (red wine vinegar) and funk offset by nicely toasted grains (puffed rice), spice and savory hints.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with crisp carbonation.
Overall: Uncertain in style, but enormously enjoyable in its complex and unexpected nose and flavors.
