Jet-garnet with tan legs. 3.75
Licorice, char, and mint. 3.75
Light molasses and baker’s chocolate then grape, mango, and pine. 3.75
Resin end and sticky linger.
Light, slight cling, oily. 3.5
Black IPA masquerading as a stout. Roast is slight and resin hits hard. Too thin, either way. Needs to show for more.
On draft at the brewery this has a bunch more chocolate, but that doesn’t help the body. 3.75

Serving: On tap at the brewery tasting room, served in a 12 oz nonic glass.
Appearance: Inky dark brown with a modest, bubbly head of tan foam. Good streaks of lace and big bubbles ring the emptying glass.
Smell: Roasted grains, coffee.
Taste: Full and balanced roasted malt; coffee, bit of burnt toast, subtle smoke and slight molasses. Balancing bitterness leaves a clean finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium, relatively light body with softer carbonation.
Overall: Well balanced and drinkable with good toasty notes.
