My only knock would be that it's a little thin given the look and aroma lead in. Otherwise, excellent.

 

 

 

Had on tap. Slate black body, tan head and lacing. Piney and herbal hops with roasted malt nose, powerful. Way more malty than hoppy in taste though, still fine but not the balance of excellence. Feel is maltier too, somewhat thin but plenty sharp, roasted, and dry. Better than other black ipas recently, but no need to have again

pours an opaque black with not much head. smell is very hoppy and malty too. smells quite good! unfortunately it doesn't taste as good...malts dominate the palate and I don't get much hops at all. more a saison than a black ale. medium bodied, light carbonation.

overall decent...

note: it does get significantly better as it warms. its pretty good actually!
