Poured into a fluted glass at Duckworth's, Park Rd Charlotte NC.
Low carbed, slight head, clear clean amber colored brew. Thinner than I expected, more chocolate too, but there's a lot of vanilla and bourbon in there swimming around. It's only slightly boozy, and at 10.5% it should be. I'm smelling bread & malt, tasting that too, along with loads of caramel and raisins. This isn't quite what I expected, but it's a damn good beer that I'd definitely have again.

A: pours a clear honey color with half a finger of white head that fades into a thin ring with a little lacing.
S: caramel and vanilla dominate here with some red licorice aromas underneath. Some sweet bourbon aromas follow.
T: caramel, vanilla, licorice, and caramel malts dominate with some sweet bread, oak, and bourbon flavors following. The finish is only slightly boozy.
M: medium-thick body with low carbonation, this beer is sticky sweet, but avoids being syrupy or watery.
O: an enjoyable beer overall. It doesn't have a ton of depth, but is tasty and drinkable.
