Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a stemmed tulip, the beer is a pink, rose color, with no head. Nose of red grape, rich and tangy, with sour notes and farmhouse funk. Flavors are tangy and tart forward, with cherry and grape sweetness. The aftertaste is wine-like, with tart notes on a light and crisp body. The finish is dry and crisp, just like a red wine. Solid brew.

Had on tap. So they took orval homage ale but aged in red wine barrels.... and I found the result to be quite enjoyable. Reddish golden body, sudsy white head and plenty of lacing. Smell has the vinous grape meeting dry barrel and barnyard funks, with a finishing floral hop wave. Taste is a little more fruity up front with the grape and supporting red fruit where the wine is the finishing touch with the hops, still lovely. Feel is mildly funky and sour, lessor so than how it tastes or smells, more dry and musky honestly. It's no orval but it is quite a good remix!
