It poured a dark golden/orange color. You can definitely smell the pear and I get some pine and fig as well. Definitely some fruitiness and as some reviewers pointed out definitely some spices as well. Upon drinking the fig and pear immediately hit the tongue as well as some pine. Also some grapefruit. Very juicy. Overall its a well done IPA from Wicked Weeds.

A: Pours a relatively clear dark golden apricot in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation and some faint orange + golden yellow highlights. The beer has a three finger tall foamy light beige head that slowly reduces to a medium sized patch of thick film (consisting of larger bubbles) surrounded by a thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of citrus/grapefruit zest and pine hops over the top of caramel + grainy malts. Lighter aromas of fig and pear come out as the beer warms up. Light to moderate aromas of spices/cardamom.
T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of caramel + grainy malts with a light to moderate amount of sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of spices/cardamom and a moderate flavors of fig + pear. Finally there are moderate flavors of citrus/grapefruit zest + pine hops which impart a light to moderate amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Very light amounts of dryness in the finish.
O: A nice combination of hops flavors, figs + pears, and cardamom. Easy to drink and enjoyable. Well constructed.

Wow. I wish I could get past the cardamom, but mannnn it was overpowering. It muted most of the favors that I associate with an IPA. Not gonna lie, my girlfriend and I each took about 2 sips and drain poured. If you're hoping the cardomom is subtle, this is a beer to avoid for sure.

great marriage of flavors and style! the pear could be more prevalent, but otherwise as delicious as a pear/fig ipa could be.
