On draft into a snifter. Previous review description fits very well for what I saw/smelled. From the beer description on the menu, I was expecting something that is a stout with a bite from the peppers maybe similar to Mexican Cake by westbrook. Instead I found the spicy almost non-existent. Also seemed to lack some of the traditional flavors associated with an imperial stout. All that said, despite my expectations, an excellent beer in its own right

Poured on-tap in a snifter, the beer is a dark, blackish-brown coloring with ruby highlights, and a halo of filmy, tan head. Nose of coffee, cream, pepper spice, chocolate, and nutty sweetness. Flavors are pepper spice and heat forward, with a creamy blend of chocolate and nut to follow. Tangy and rich, with a building warmth. Smooth and creamy body, with a tangy, sweet cream and chocolate aftertaste sprinkled with pepper heat. Smooth, creamy finish with a linger warmth building. Good beer.
