I thought it was a little thin and not very complex. Disappointed with this one.

Near black color where no light passes through the center, and barely any passes through the edge. One finger, beige head to start. Light streaks for lace.
Strong black patent malt start to the smell. More coffee than mocha to the nose.
Low chocolate and higher coffee might describe this beer well. Chewy body for the style but with sufficient carbonation to keep it from being too cloy. Leans to the darker, roasted malts with very little sweetness.

Probably the best Tequila BA beer I've ever had. So much spicy Anejo/Reposado flavor and still very smooth. Plus, you can still taste the base beer just fine without the barrel overtaking the whole drink.

at the brewery, served in a snifter
jet black, with thick head. huge boozy aroma, but a well balanced taste - sweet and boozy and complex, but not hot. smooth mouthfeel, coats the mouth. nicely done.
