This has a cannibus-y hint to it That I was not picking up on for the first few cans. I like beers with the hempy flavor. Nice sticky hoppy flavor. Hints of sweet pineapple on the back-end. It's not devastatingly strong like space dust. Nice simco bite but very smooth! I misjudged you, wicked weed. 8.5/10

Canned on 4/18/20.

A - Clear and vibrant medium gold color with a one finger thick, dense, creamy head of sticky foam.

S - Spicy malt with light citrus.

T - Passion fruit, some berry, spicy and peppery citrus, some light herbally/weed-like character with nice rye spiciness throughout,

M - Big medium body.

O - Really dig the rye spiciness in this beer, the intense citrus is just "the icing on the cake". Interesting and unique.

Poured a slightly orange-tinted golden body with great head and lace down glass. The aroma is grassy, floral, and has some dank sniffs but not overtly so. Dry, medium body, definitely not dirty and in fact has an easy going smoothness thank to a slick oiliness. Moderate grapefruit sweetness on backend adds balance to the earthy hops and makes beer easy to drink.

Drinking this from a can poured into a pint glass.
Appears hazy, light orange amber with a nice head and lacing.
Smells citrusy, very lightly bready.
Taste follows the nose, mango and grapefruit.
Mouth feel is medium light.
Overall a tasty IPA I would definitely order again.

Pretty nice beer. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was a good drink. Granted it wasn’t the best but I was not disappointed. I would definitely get again.

What a waste of $12.49! After drinking Pernicious multiple times for over a year now the store was out and thought I’d try the sister IPA. Big mistake. Worst IPA I’ve ever drank. Thinking of taking back to our neighborhood store and I’ve never returned anything. Terrible beer and a huge disappointment!

On draught in an IPA glass in MA. Gold orange color. Great tasting break from the hazy NEIPA that I love. Great hop bitter balance with some malty caramel notes.

Pours a semi-clear deep gold/pale amber. I can't really call it hazy because it's clear enough to see a nice flow of effervescence ascending from the bottom. The pour produces 2+ fingers of white, moderately lasting, foamy head that leaves three quarters inch of thick lace and collar above a bowl like surface cap. The residual foam becomes a nice spider web of Jack Frost lace on the sides the glass as I consume the beer. Nose is biscuit, caramel, leafy and earthy; well blended hints of peach/apricot, grapefruit, orange, pineapple/tropical fruit and resinous hops. For a beer with "dank" in its name it is not overly so in the nose. Private Dank maybe but Lieutenant? The taste has a higher degree of dankness (if that is a word, if not you know what I mean). Maybe Corporal or Sergeant Dank on taste alone. Taste is biscuit, melon, apricot, grapefruit, tropical fruit, leafy, resinous and pine. Sweet fronted it remains so into the finish where it begins gravitating towards a spicy, piney bitter which becomes predominant in the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium bodied with slightly above moderate carbonation producing a light prickle on the tongue; pillowy and slightly juicy. A decent offering but not great.

A: Hazy yellowish orange color, 1 inch white head, great lacing
S: Hops, citrus, floral, caramely malts
T: Hops upfront citrusy and floral but a nice malty sweet balance
M: Medium
O: Really nicely balanced IPA. Would definetly have again and often.

From the can, it pours a hazy amber with a nice off-white head that slowly dissipates as you watch. In the nose, it is orange and a bit of malt. In the mouth, it is citrusy and then malty.

WW aren't the kings of Asheville by mistake. Pours a hazy golden color with solid head and carbonation. Smells like an IPA should only better. Taste is a superior mix of sweet and bitter. A light mouthfeel and slightly bitter aftertaste. Not quite Pernicious. But it ain't far off

I tried this at the Butcher's Son in Chesapeake, VA. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had fruit notes. The taste was affected by an overprimed can so I am sure this is better off the tapper than what I experienced. I could tell there was fruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with fizzy carbonation. Overall it's an ok beer.

Draught @ Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Golden colour, almost spotless clear. Stiff off white head with long retention and good lacing. Aroma's: very faint actually, light dank, a little bitter and somewhat piney. Flavour is moderate bitter and light sweet. Medium bodied. Long finish, quite bitter and dry. Decent.

While this is solid, it's not necessarily spectacular. In a world that is loaded with really good ipas, this one stands firmly in the middle of the pack. Nothing offencive, easy drinking but does nothing to really separate itself from any of the others. Citrus and pine flavors. Crisp mouthfeel, all fairly standard. I don't know that I would buy this again. If offered I would gladly drink it but I don't think I will spend my money on it anymore.

A: Orange amber in color with a small off white head.

S: Grapefruit and pine and certainly a bit of dank. Although for a can that has dank on the front of it, it's a bit tame in that department.

T: Pine and citrus, a moderate amount of dank, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it dankalicious, or even danktacular. Decent bitterness in the finish.

M: Medium in body with slightly elevated carbonation, with a dry and bitter finish.

O: Overall, bot a bad beer, but nothing spectacular either. I could see knocking a few back while grilling.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a dark golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is herbal, minty. Taste is of pine, mints, not much dankness and surprisingly mild bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall, not bad, but I was expecting much more.

On tap at Ben’s Neighborhood Grill in Savannah, GA. A pretty solid IPA, tipping the scales towards West Coast style. Fruity, dank, resinous, delicious. Love the tropical fruit finish and feel. Big fan, loved it.

12 ounce can in an IPA glass.

Bright, clean, see-through golden colored brew with a 3F white cloud on top, slow burn taper. Heavy sticky lacing. I kept it cold and drank it fresh, as commanded.

Dank it is. Damp, earthy, slightly candied. A slight note of alcohol.

Sturdy barley malt base with lots of hop flavors. Citrus, pine, hemp.

Full body and very pleasant feel. Tart hop bite with a lingering mix of malt and citrus hops on the end.

Not perfect, but 6.5% abv in a 12 ounce can that comes on strong. Good stuff.

Straight from can. Aroma is dank indeed but there is also sweet orange rind and hop resin. Taste is balanced, hoppy but not too bitter, resiny with some orange notes. Good, easy drinking IPA.

12oz can poured into a snifter.

A: Sunny golden color with a slight chill haze. Two fingers of creamy white head retains magnificently. Lacing clings in sticky patches.

S: Dank, as the name implies. Lots of fruity cannabis up front. Fruity Pebbles. White grapefruit and passion fruit. Apricot and candied orange peel.

T: Cantaloupe and honeydew melon underneath a big romp of dank piney and earthy hop flavors. Resinous. Hints of tangy passion fruit. Grapefruit and orange too. Bitterness clamps down rather tightly. Hemp seeds. Honeydew melon lingers on the palate as the bitterness slowly recedes into the finish.

M: Medium bodied with a fluffy and creamy texture. Carbonation is firm but gentle and prickles easily at the top of the tongue.

O: Dank it is. Very much in the west coast vein of things. Bold, resinous, and bitter flavors lead, but there are some nice tropical nuances to it as well. A very solidly construncted IPA.

12 oz can

Pours mostly clear golden. Eggshell suds for a head.

Smells of honey, bread and cereal malts, with some herbal and piney hops in the finish.

Flavor is of light honey, biscuit and pine.

Lighter body, light carbonation.

This is okay. Not really fantastic or memorable. Flavor is pretty watered down. Probably won't remember this one in a week.

Canned 3 weeks prior to this review.

I love the name, even if the reference is completely at odds with the description on the can. While I see this place has a pretty robust resume for beverages, this is my only undertaking with the company therefore I can only rate it based on this beer. Unfortunately, it falls flat in the Dank category therefore I cannot rate it nearly what the average is. Try a different yeast strain and malt profile and you may get yourself toward the Dank categort with these hops should you then double or triple dry hop. Not going forward with the typical ASTMO in this review but still, a drinkable beer and I would however like to try something else in their lineup if it is accessible my way.
