Have to say I am not a huge fan of IPA's, especially high gravity (10+ abv) ones. That being said, this one was quite impressive. alcohol was felt, but subdued. Some alcohol in the smell which played down the aroma, but this is probably the best high gravity IIIPA I've had. Great job WW!

The absolute best high gravity IPA I've ever had...it actually tasted like an IPA instead of a barleywine like most IIPAs!

On draught at The Cellar, Uptown Charlotte.
A: Bright, orange/red hue with a fluffy 1/2" head.
S: Dank, citrusy hops and alcohol.
T: Massive in every sense. Huge bitterness, solid malt backbone and booze! Not a beer for the casual beer drinker, and possibly not something for even seasoned vets.
D: Moderate carbonation and shockingly, fairly easy to drink (to me anyway). Definitely a sipper.
O: This is a monster of a beer that I believe many breweries can't pull off. Wicked Weed pushed the envelope- and it worked.
