A kaleidoscope of West Coast hops twists through the cosmos. A big bang of brightness gives birth to an entirely new flavor universe. Layers of Calypso complexity streak across the night sky. This is Astronomical, an IPA that screams from the cosmos into the future.

L- Pours a nice golden orange. Nice persistent white head. Good lacing.
S- Good citrus notes. You get a little hint of maltiness on the nose.
T- Citrus, good malt backbone
F- Good thick mouthfeel
I just wish it had a little more bite. But didn't expect too much out of a NE IPA. Definitely worth a try.

Good NE IPA with some stronger West Coast IPA bitterness. Bought a 16 oz can at Chip's Wine and Beer in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Poured into a pint glass, this beer features as a slightly hazy gold color with a big foamy white head. Head retention is good and there are thick, foamy bands of lacing on the glass. Aroma is fairly faint, maybe a little grapefruit. Taste is much better. A good bit of citrus (grapefruit), some NE IPA "dankness" and a good dose of West Coast IPA bitterness. This is a good tasting beer. Mouthfeel is crisp and bitter, rich enough for the style. A fine IPA!!!!

Pretty decent NEIPA. Poured from tap at the brewpub into a tulip glass. Slightly hazy yellow color with good head and lacing. Strong citrus smell and taste. Flavors of lime, grapefruit, and pineapple.

Full, juicy and smooth but still an IPA at heart, Wicked Weed takes their Astronomical IPA to a place where bitter IPA dare to go- to the world of haze. Brewed in the New England style and boasting the best tropical accented hops on the planet, this beer sees new heights.
Wicked Weed's Astronomical "Hazy" IPA pours typically hazy gold while floating a long, creamy, frothy crown. With the tangy and fruity aromas hinge on tropical, citrus, berry and herb, a rounded scent of citronella floats off of the rim. Gentle sweetness of angel food cake, honeysuckle and mild cereal frame a creamy maltiness with subtle grain character.
Full and plush early, the ale patiently transitions into a hop-forward middle palate with the radiance of tangerine, pink grapefruit, lemon, passionfruit, pineapple and green berries in a greener, under-ripened tone. Trending slightly bitter but keeping things juicy, the late taste is bright with verbena, sassafras, green tea, white wine spice, light hemp and a general gin-like set of botanicals.
Medium bodied but fuller to start, the beer finishes on the drier and more bitter side of malty-dry with a medium length aftertaste of hop spice, fragrant grasses and a sprucy grip in true IPA tone. For a brewery that got its roots in bitter beer, this is a fantastic example of a hazier example.

Good brightness to the white foam, crests a round a finger, soapy lacing. Vivid, translucent yellow liquid, very fine particulate throughout, only a few random bubbles visible. Thick, heavy presence in your nostrils, leafy dankness and tropical pineapple, guava, passion fruit scents most obvious, followed on by pine sap, honey and malted milk balls. Full-bodied, thick and gluey here as well, carbonation not doing much to smooth things out. The tropical fruit and pink grapefruit push most of the dankness offstage. Cracker, pine, toffee, thankfully not as sweet as the nose suggests. Lacks any crisp, refreshing sensations at the end. Plenty of flavor but I got tired of drinking it halfway through the can. I love that the HAZE CRAZE is stretching well beyond its’ NE roots. This brewer Wicked Weed makes a fine standard IPA called Pernicious that I really like. This hazy IPA is full of tropical fruit on the nose, palate & finish which has a really welcome creaminess. Full on blast of juicy gooey pine. Nice brew.

Pours a semi opaque, honey colored amber with a finely bubbled head. Aroma i pretty mild and nondescript. Taste is not really juicy, a hammer of hops across the tongue with a pleasant malt backbone to keep things in check, minimal sweetness. Pretty creamy mouthfeel as well, I think this beer is a pleasure to drink and I would definitely buy more of it. Excellent!

Poured into 22 ounce beer glass from a pint can. Nice graphics
It is not so hazy for a hazy beer. straw grayish gold color
Smell is floral, citrus and honey
Taste is much like the smell above Quite smooth, pleasant. A hint of sweetness from the honey
Feel is OK, with good head retention.

Hoppy but not bitter. Packs a punch at 7.7ABV. I like IPAs whose ABVs exceed the IBU, (ie 8% ABV / 60 IBU)
