Part of the Guilty Pleasures pack picked up at TW-Greenville, SC 10-30-21 for $14.99. Packaged 8-25-21; drink by 8-25-22. Consumed 2-16-22.

Beer poured black with a really nice tan head that is leaving some lacing behind.

Nose is a mild roast used for the base stout beer with a strong dose cinnamon and some chocolate under that.

Taste is a good-sized dark malt base infused with too much cinnamon. Chocolate and vanilla are subtle, not enough to balance the cinnamon. Finishes with enough hops to balance out the end of each sip.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.

Overall a pretty good dessert beer.

Pours a lighter dark brown with a very small dark head on top. Smells like sweet milk chocolate while cold and as it warms. Tastes of sweet mocha coffee.

Very good head production and retention.

Nose is a touch roasty, with powdered chocolate and a mild cinnamon presence that grows as it warms. Touches of toffee and molasses. Nothing reminds me of the namesake.

Similar on the palate. The chocolate is dry and barely semi-sweet, the cinnamon is a nice touch but not overpowering (as can easily be the case with cinnamon), and the vanilla comes along on the back third with a nice sweet creaminess, melded with a toasty and roasty malt presence. Additional tones include caramel, toffee, biscuit, red grape, and cola.

Warming heat.

While I wouldn't say it tastes much like a s'more, it does taste pretty good. Enjoy it for what it is.

UPDATE: I reviewed this beer twice, two years apart from one another (one in 2020 and another in 2022). I was convinced Wicked Weed went cheapo on the Guilty Pleasures Pack recently and this is proof. Here is a comparison of the two:

January 2022 Version
look: 3.5 | smell: 3.25 | taste: 3.25 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.25

Appearance:
Black that might once have been soil brown but is so thoroughly ensconced in shadows its etiology is too obscured to decipher. Pale beige head with a lifespan that even a mayfly would consider brutally short. Laces in long, dopey ovals like a bunch of fucked up balloon animals.

Bouquet:
Flame broiled marshmallow, heated to the point of being melty and extra jiggly, given a slapdash exposure to low-end, milk chocolate and a sprinkling of malty Ovaltine.

Feel:
Full bodied but instead of allowing smoothness, some grinning loon dialed the carbonation to 11, creating a sandpapery friction that scrapes its way all the way to the back of the tongue. This scratching kicks up dust bunnies of cinnamon and sweeps up crumbs of graham cracker to the level of noticeability so it isn’t to be entirely berated.

Taste:
A trundling juggernaut of vanilla extract violently plows its way down the center of the pallet, bowling over the cinnamon, malty graham, and pulverizing the milk chocolate into a faint, mist; their corpses skewered on the astringent spines of a vanilla monstrosity. Given time to decant, the monster wanders off elsewhere and the fractured remains of the palate begin to coalesce into a proper—and interestingly delicate—s’more. The linger is all earthy, semi-sweet malts, thickly crop-dusted in cocoa powder.

February 2020 Version:
look: 4 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75

Appearance:
Pours an inky ebony, the liquid equivalent of a dark forest under a starry sky. Invisible bubbles ghost their way to the surface and coalesce into a canopy of mocha foam that displays moderate retention and a perpetual curtain of ringed lacing.

Bouquet:
Cold vanilla and cinnamon, the aroma of Snickerdoodle ice cream. A docile shadow of toasted malts and astringent booze follow at its heels.

Feel:
Rolls over the pallet like a scoop of Cold Stone's finest; smooth and creamy, with a touch of texture contrast from carbonation that gently nips the palate.

Taste:
An apathetic pantomime of the aroma: vanilla and cinnamon host a senseless argument over which one of them is louder, while the dark grains, graham cracker and chocolate hide away like timid children. A sprawling midway of booziness stands between them.

Overall:
The collection of flavors pledged by the bottle are emaciated. If this was a vanilla cinnamon stout I'd have no complaints, but I was promised more and I've come to expect bolder synergy from Wicked Weed.

12 oz. bottle in winter stout variety pack. Poured into Trillium Six States glass.

Small off white head, OK retention, thin ring. Beer is black. Mostly smell roasted malts and cocoa, don't really get the graham or marshmallow or other notes you would expect either in the nose or taste. It's a fine base stout so still not too bad but misses the mark. Medium bodied, light carbonation, balanced fairly well.
