I'm not a big fan of sour beers, but I'm always willing to try one. I tried this one then got a whole glass. The sour flavor was subtle and well balanced. It didn't overpower you with the sour flavor hitting you hard up front. Had a really awesome flavor.
I talked to one of the brewers while I was there. They use a Brett yeast on this one as well as lactic acid then age it in a wooden barrel. They have a separate building out back where they keep all of their funky beers so as not to contaminate their main brewhouse.

On-tap at Wicked Weed Brewing, Asheville, NC
A: The beer is hazy amber in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a patch of bubbles in the center of the glass and a collar around the edge.
S: Light to moderate aromas of sour fruits are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell but the sourness is a little subdued because there are also notes of Belgian candi sugar and sweetness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: If you smell this beer, you would think it's a wild ale but if you taste this beer you would think it's more like a dubbel. The taste has an interesting combination of flavors.

This beer was part of the wood series, I was lucky enough to have all three from the series (vixen BBA, Black Angel, and this)
A: Pours a dark golden brown. About a finger of head. Nice carbonation rising from bottom of glass.
S: Has a somewhat sweet smell, quickly offset by some funk.
T: Sour upfront, followed by some darker fruits. Def some brett and lacto in this beer. Nice subtle tastes of oak.
M: A nice amount of carbonation to tickle the mouth, before it is coated by a nicely bodied dubbel.
O: I really enjoyed this beer, probably my favorite beer they had along with the Freak. An awesome amount of alcohol that is hidden, with an awesome funk and sour taste. Extremely impressed to have an NC brewery brew a beer with this amount of complexity.
I was really just wanting to add this beer since it wasn't on here, had it two weekends ago and don't remember exact details of the beer, but it was amazing
