Served on-tap at Wicked Weed Brewing in Asheville, NC
A: Pours a clear but opaque jet black in color with some very light amounts of gentle visible carbonation near the surface of the beer and some dark cola brown highlights. The beer has a half finger tall creamy tan head that slowly reduces to a thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of lightly roasted malts with some lactose sweetness and light hints of milk chocolate.
T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of lightly roasted malts with some moderate amounts of lactose sweetness. There are light flavors of milk chocolate as well.
M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly creamy.
O: A little sweeter than I prefer my milk stouts but still a very enjoyable example of the style.
