A: Pours a hazy to cloudy medium reddish amber in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation streaming from the bottom of the glass and some crimson + golden orange highlights. The beer has a finger tall creamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a mottled thick film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light aromas of blueberry over some slightly stronger aromas of pale malts and saison yeast with a hint of black pepper.
T: Upfront there is a light flavor of pale malts with some light to moderate flavors of tart blueberries. That is followed by light flavors of saison yeast and hints of black pepper.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: I really enjoyed the tart blueberry flavors to this beer rather than the overly sweet blueberry but I think I have enjoyed some of the other saisons that Wicked Weed has produced a little better. The blueberry was a little more subtle than I expected and I would have liked a little more intensity to the tart blueberry flavors.
