Not overly hazy (which I like)...but all the flavor was there.

When you’re drinking San Diego Craft, you know that it’s gonna be outstanding - and juicy. Without exception.
This one too is very well made, without a doubt. Looks a bit less juicy when compared to other NEIPAs, but the aroma makes up for it - it’s just amazing, tropical, zesty, citrusy and all that you would want an IPA to be, par excellence. And although the taste might not be as dense as some well-renowned others, it is spot on, they nailed the juicy fruits just perfectly. Absolutely no bitterness, not even with time or the temperature changing. It’s juicy all the way. No foul play, no aftertaste, no strange overtones. It’s just great.
It is a NEIPA though, so it bears its s trademarks, it is drinkable and not as intense as a West Coast IPA. But it does the job perfectly and the hops are just perfect on this 18/06/19 batch.
Let me leave you with the comment on the can:
“Irregardless of the haze, it’s wicked juicy!”

Pours a moderately hazy, medium golden amber with coppery notes. Aroma of lightly caramel malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops with a little dankness, orange, lemon, passion fruit, dry pineapple and mixed light stone fruit. Flavor pale malt, citrus hops, orange, tangerine, vague mixed tropical fruit, peach, lightly dank. Finishes with muddled mixed fruit and light bitterness. Medium bodied with light creaminess. An interesting hop bill is typical for a NE style IPA with a mixture of tropical fruit and citrus hops. This is the variety of NE IPA that is not very hazy but quite fruit forward with modest bitterness. This style tends to taste more like fruit juice as the glass empties and is not my favorite style. However, the hop varieties are interesting and this one kept my interest.

On tap at the airport. A hazy bright yellow color with a thick white head. Great lacing in the glass. Pretty good tropical aroma. Some earthy notes. The taste was as expected with bright fruit and a nice dankness. Dry bready malt. A slight astringency but not bad. Moderate bitterness. A nice soft feel. Excellent.

This is the 06/07/18 edition. Pours a sudsy hazy yellowish amber in the Duvel tulip. The usual cloudy stuff with the usual massive fruity gunk. Spritzy mouthfeel and full of carbonation as you sip. Orange marmalade is the flavor, complete with the bitter peel finish. Sweet and juicy, as advertised.
This is serious fruit juice and it can get rather tiresome after a few big gulps. It's quite sippable, though, and the hop flavors are clean and decent. From the six-pack of 12 oz cans purchased at Barons Market on West Point Loma.
