Pours a refreshingly clear golden yellow with a fine-grained foam in the Leute Bokbier glass. Sudsy mouthfeel with some malty substance. Aromatic with orange peel. Flavors of resin, lime, and pineapple, all darkened by the hint of astringency.
The sweet orange marmalade gives way to a piney bitterness. This is a classic San Diego sort of IPA, or at least just a big hoppy mutt of a brew. It's quite drinkable and leaves a satisfying bitter aftertaste with a lingering bit of fruit. From the 12 oz can purchased at Barons Market.
