Well that is a very familiar label, Super Mario Bros. C&D, so hot right now. If ever. Anyhoo, just added the beer to the database and I'll write a review for it too because I'm not a total sociopath.
Pours a malty dark gold meets amber appearance. Nice to meet you. Thin 1/5" white head. The aroma had those dusty paper mill feels, light autumn sensation, smell of bitterness and light alcohol. Unsweetened bark and caramel.
The taste was ok, I think I would definitely enjoy the non imperialized version more though. Just had too much bitterness and booziness for what I want with this kind of beer. The malt body and mouth feel would be pretty good without those. I dunno, the hops didn't have a specific identifiable flavor, just bitterness. A real minimal reductionist hopping would suit this beer better. Its a pretty cool label though, I can't remember where I put the sticker.
I got friends from Colorado, I got friends from Kentucky, so I got somethin' from a bottle and I got somethin' from a seed.
