Orange in color, somewhat foggy, resembling a hafeweizen. Astringent pale ale, chile flavor but not enough bite to tingle the tongue.

This is Thorn Street's pale ale flavored with Jalapeño plus Cobra chiles (supposedly the insanely hot Bhut Jolokia). Cascade finishing hops, though who could tell. Rated at 44 IBUs. Great flavor but hard to drink much of it. On tap at the brewpub.

Just a modest foam to start, and it vanishes quickly. Color is a clear dark amber in the pint shaker. Nice peppery nose. Big delicious chile flavor from the start. It's just hot enough so you put this down for a while after a big gulp. The heat wears off eventually, but it's still a spicy one. Needs a beer chaser, in my opinion. More carbonation would help this a lot.
