Large taproom with both bar and table seating. The space was well lit, clean and comfortable. The quality of the beer was average to slightly above average. Service was friend;y and helpful. There was a selection of 23 beers on tap. They serve food now but I did not try anything.

Nice almost hippy vibe, cool music, shelves of books, creative art coasters, long brick walls in older downtown Kenosha. We tired 2 samples and bought a bomber to go. I liked the dry stout very much. Our bartender was knowledgeable, she talked about what was on tap. I would visit again when in the area.

Cool spot nestled downtown. Fridays have different kinds of bands/music.

A simple store front place with people who just want to brew good quality beer. They're not trying to be fancy or showy. They got take out menus to order from if you're hungry

Public Craft Brewing is located in downtown Kenosha, which over the last few years has been a ghost town for the most part. This storefront used to house a beer & wine shop years ago, Sommelier. What's nice about this location is that it's near the other brewery in town, Rustic Road, and the Swedish bakery next door to it, Linnea.
Inside it's very cool and relaxed, almost like a coffee house vibe 10-15 years ago. On a Sunday afternoon, there was a crowd of a dozen or so, a couple dogs in tow, and quiet music playing. The space goes back a good ways, with plenty of seating and the 4BBL brewing system in the rear. Behind the bar is an exposed brick wall, with the Public logo painted towards the front. The opposite wall is a deep brick red color, with numerous artworks by local artists. There were a few patio tables out front, and some upholstered chairs in the front windows around a low round table, flanked by bookshelves. Also behind the bar was an extensive record collection and a working turntable. Will have to bring some vinyl next time, they encourage patrons to bring their own. (BYOV)
There were 8 house drafts with a good variety, seasonals included a black IPA and session IPA. The rest were somewhat standard brewpub beers, with a dry stout and ESB both on nitro. Quality was good, though somewhat typical. Variety was better than Rustic Road down the street. Looking forward to more of their beers as they find a niche. Aside from beer they offer the ultimate bar snack, Landjaeger sausages from Ruef's Market in New Glarus.
Service was great, the bartender was friendly and chatty, able to answer beer questions and provided a great experience overall. Public Craft is a really comfortable place, and i'll be making it a point to stop in whenever i'm in Kenosha.
