Had on tap at a beer festival. Beer was full-bodied and invigorating that has a nice balance of coffee and chocolate notes. Smells of nicely roasted coffee.

Served On-Tap
A — Pours a deep and dark brown into the glass, a slowly forming dark brown head forms and leaves behind some spotty bits of lacing.
S — Smells of nicely roasted coffee, some lightly charred and roasted malts, a little bit of chocolate and dark toasted bread. Some light caramel sweetness rounds things out.
T — Dry and assertive dark roasted malt character with a balancing coffee presence, dark chocolate, dark coffee, very nice indeed.
M — Medium bodied, with a lingering semi-acrid finish.
O — Very good overall, a nice balance of flavors, quite dry.

I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at Mr. West in Seattle.
Appearance: black and cloudy with a nice layer of creamy tan foam. I dig it.
Smell: roasty, yeasty and a bit vegetal. Not too bad for the style.
Taste: some roast with a vegetal element and some yeastiness in addition to a nice coffee character. I think the roast and coffee are good but they also bring out the messier elements of the flavor. Still, pretty good.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good carbonation and creaminess. Enjoyable!
Overall: there is a little bit of messiness to this beer, but I find myself enjoying anyway. Quite drinkable.

I'm a bit torn on this one.
Tastes just like smooth, cold-brewed coffee (delicious).
Porter attributes are all but smothered.
Tasty nonetheless.

This stuff was phenomenal! Tasted at the Skagit Wine and Beer Festival. Best beer at the festival. Glad I got to try this one.
