Served in straight pint glass. Poured barely translucent brown that was clean and clear. The beer was very active, and produced well over an inch of dark khaki head that had a stunning amount of retention and lacing.
The aroma was mostly the expected malty-sweet, with just a bit of a tobacco note in the background. The flavors were pretty much as expected as well. Very mild hops behind the malty sweetness. The tobacco/leather flavor lingered a bit longer than I would have liked at the back of the tongue.
The body was typical, except for being a just a bit too thin. Drinkability was OK, I enjoyed my pint, and will probably have this beer again. Overall, an OK brew, not really notable, but worth trying if you see it.
