Poured from a bottle into a Russian River snifter. I'm guessing this is about a year old, since it was first added in 2013 and was only brewed once.

Appearance: Nice amber color with about one finger's worth of thick foam. Lots of lacing on the glass.

Smell: Sweet, with notes of molasses and dark fruit.

Taste: More sweetness: bourbon, vanilla, plums, and raisins. As it warms, more of the malty character shows through, with some faint hops. Towards the end, I started to pick up some wine and grape notes. All fairly balanced.

Mouthfeel: Very thick with little carbonation, though it still has a lively taste. A decently long finish.

Overall: A very good wheat wine, just short of being really great. Would love to see more of this style, and will definitely try to seek out more from this brewery.

GBSBC's newest...a bit ambitious to go for a Wheatwine, in my opinion.

It pours out of its big lavender-colored bottle a dark orange color with burnished bronze in the depth. The head is tan, bubbly though it reaches even a touch over one finger. It stays well and deposits lacing in patches.
The aroma is sweet but not cloying, giving off notes of candy apple and pear before some bready malts come out. Plenty of dark fruits continue to come out of a very nicely sturdy nose.
The flavor trades out the sweetness for breadiness and a somewhat nondescript bitterness. There's no real label for it; not bright like citrus, resinous, or anything I can think to label. I think I'd like it a bit more if I could just put my finger on the hops profile or if it added a bit more character besides just bitterness for biteerness' sake. It sort of overpowers the underlying flavors.
it flows very nicely, with a consistently crisp bite that doesn't fade and a rolling smoothness in a sturdy medium-full body.
I think they did something good here. Even better if people could pick a little more out of it.

Very cool looking bottle from the Great Black Swamp Brewing Company

A- pours flat with an amber color. White head slowly develops, thick lacing

S-Lots of wine notes, plums, apple, brown sugar, nice aroma overall

T-very bready, and rich. sweet from an almost citrus presence. Kind of like a wine beer hybrid

M-almost no carbonation, thick and slick.

O- I'm glad to see these guys being more experimental. This is by far the best beer they have made and I dig it.
