Poured from a 500ml bottle into a dimpled pint mug.
Pours a dark brown/black colour with a creamy off-white head.
Smells lovely and smokey, awesome, I love the smell of smoked food and drink.
Tastes very malty and bitter, with that lovely woody smokiness from the smoked oak chips - nice to have a smoked flavour that extends beyond tasting merely like smoked bacon - with quite a noticeable acidity at the end. Quite a creamy and luxurious mouthfeel.
Overall a pretty good one, let down a tad by the acidity but the smoked element is original and awesome. Poppyland!
