Despite the name, it doesn't really taste much like an English IPA. The hops seem more or less correct, but the mouthfeel, aroma, and carbonation are off the mark. A pleasant enough IPA that isn't in your face, but it ain't English.

We experienced this on cask at the Pig and Whistle in San Francisco.
A - Light Amber colored, slight carbonation and a wonderful full sphere froth.
No lacing as it was cask conditioned.
S - Caramel, toffee, deciduous, and a bit of citrus.
T - Malt base (Maris Otter) wonderful English textures, with slight bitterness, smooth malt backbone,
A hint of citrus.
F - Cask equals round mouth feel, smooth palate, and gentle carbonation. An absolute delight.
O - A fine ale with grounded efforts on the style. An English IPA with enough hop bite to get over that ESB
stereotype. In this case a New Englander in the Bay Area finding a fine, and flavorful English IPA on Cask was to be treasured. Worth seeking out for certain.
Cheers
