Coffee black with clear red edges under a thick, densely level tan head that looks exactly like nitro despite being entirely naturally hand pulled.
And god dang it's fluffy as fuck. More boldly bitter than Guinness, not herbal but also shy of pine, it's hard to put my finger on. There's also a mild but woody tobacco element, and a not quite cola note.
Nothing here is too overwhelming, furthering its already lovely drinkability.

Pull handle cask pour at the brewery/taproom. Served chilled in a nonic glass.
Dark brown colored body. Creamy, light tan head. Partial walls of lacing left behind.
Aroma of roasted grain malts. Caramel and vanilla.
Taste is roasted malts with a definite bitterness but at a moderate level. Provides a good dark bread meal.
More than medium mouthfeel. Smooth and silky. Good carbonation.
Solid and slightly sweet as an additional attribute.
