This beer pours black and is capped with an inch of tan head that leaves a little spotty lacing.

I get chocolate followed by hazelnut. It has a nice aroma.

The chocolate taste is upfront. The hazelnut follows but is somewhat subdued. I wish the flavor lived up to the aroma.

Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel

It is a decent beer. I just wanted more. More flavor, more aroma. Maybe my expectations were too high.

 

Wake Me Up Hazelnut Coffee Milk Stout brewed by Geo. Wiedemann Brewing Company, LLC, with an ABV of 6.50% This American Stout pours out of the tap, a deep brown color with a nice light brown color head. This brew has the look like black coffee, not saying that is a bad thing. There is also a nice amount of lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is Rich with roasted grains and malts mixed with sweetness. Lots of coffee notes, mixed with hazelnut flavors. The Sweetness is a nice touch to this brew.There is a lot going on in this brew. Wake Me Up Hazelnut Coffee Milk Stout is a nice inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is Bold with flavors. The coffee mixed with the roasted grains and malts is a nice an smooth. The hazalnut with sweetness adds to the flavor, in a good way. The body of Wake Me Up Hazelnut Coffee Milk Stout is a solid medium. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a super nice balance to it. I can't get over how smooth this brew goes down. The mouth feel is Bold, Sweet, Nutty, Coffee, Clean, Smooth and Refreshing. Overall I am going to give Wake Me Up Hazelnut Coffee Milk Stout a 4.50 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again givin the opportunity to. Geo. Wiedemann Brewing Company, LLC, did a super nice job with this American Stout.

12 ounce can, canned on 07/18/19, can says 6.5% ABV. Served in a Spiegelau Stout glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice and mostly sweet, the brew smells like hazelnut, milk chocolate, coffee, vanilla, roasted malt and cream. Have to say the taste is just like the aroma, but with the sweeter tasting chocolate, vanilla and cream flavors being the stronger compared to the coffee/roasty flavors. It's a mostly sweet brew but the bitterness comes out somewhat in the finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and a bit coating with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. Recommended to those who like sweeter tasting stouts, I know I liked it! $9.99 a 4-pack.

Very tasty, not as heavy as I expected. The coffee note is not too strong.
