Oktoberfest

This is an attractive looking Oktoberfest beer. Dark caramel or amber color with attractive white head. Nose is nondescript malts. Taste is sweet caramel, roasted nutty malt, yeast, and water. Creamy mouthfeel but still medium body and drinkable. Overall this is tasty, but a bit too sweet and lacking in complex flavor, and the mediocre lager aftertaste isn’t great. I quaffed this brew immediately after an Ayinger Celebrator because the taproom ran out of Ayinger Marzen. As expected, the Daredevil version isn’t as good as the classic Ayinger Marzen. It is a bit sweeter and the malts are not as richly flavorful. But it is still effective at scratching that Oktoberfest itch.
