Maibock

Clear copper-yellow color with a ring of white foam. Taste is sweet alcohol and malt, bready yeast and some German hops on the finish. Light body and creamy feel. Not bad but a bit sweet and not exciting.

On tap. Poured a clear, golden amber color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It smelled of roasted malt, floral notes and toffee. Slightly earthy and bready with a balance of sweetness and bitterness.

 

16oz canned 4/23/18 (53 days ago) poured into a.5L krug at fridge temp, no ABV listed on can. The beer pours bright, light honey amber in color with off white head. The head recedes to an island and thin ring around the mug. The aroma is faint with a little yeast and vague malt sweetness. The taste is semisweet bready malt and earthy hops throughout. They seem to take turns trying to steal the show. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with above average carbonation. The finish is mostly dry and not sticky or sweet, just earthy hops. Overall, very good. More head retention and less carbonation could have had this as my top Maibock. Still well made and enjoyable. I wouldn't hesitate to pick more up if I came across it.
