A - Golden orange body, hazy with just a hint of transparency, a short white head, persistent cap, with lots of bubbly lacing.
S - Strong hoppy funk, pungent with tropical fruit, dank resin, and a touch of body musk. Superb range of hops here.
T - Powerful biting front, mango and orange fruit, resin, a middle where the fruit pretty quickly drops off and reveals a bit of malt sweetness, floating over the abiding punchy bitterness that lingers through the close.
M - Brisk carbonation, moderate weight, sharp dry finish and a resin crunch that builds over time.
O - This is a quite interesting hybrid. The dry hopping here does introduce the expected fruit elements, but this is a more pungently bitter ride than the standard Lift Off, and so it is not the typical DDH IPA. Now, I like typical DDH IPAs, so I think this might be better if it were a touch less bitter, but I still find this both tasty and interesting.
