Notes: Magic. Adventure. Mayhem. Fluffy bunny hugs. Bluffy hunny fugs. Sunshine farts on a skittle tart. German and English malts stalk one another in the K4 thunderdome, whilst Mosaic and Centennial hops willfully participate in the bloody sugarlust. Two malts enter, one beer leaves. It doesn’t take a team of rocket appliances to comprehend that this beer kicks ass.

Straightforward very enjoyable classic pale ale. Well balanced. Flavour develops nicely into a rich round taste and a dry bitter citrus-rind finish. I'll have another!

A gorgeous dark peach almost honey color with a pillowy head that's just so easy on the eyes. It starts at 2 fingers and doesn't fade much at all.

Fresh, bright aromas of melon, guava, and tangerine.

Flavor is bright, with lots of fruit and melon, but I think this bottle was a bit older (got it in a mix-a-six, and no date anywhere) because I'm getting lots of faded hop and the garlic funk going on. A finish of cantaloupe.

Feel is crisp and creamy, and a nice resiny finish.

Overall, I don't think I can give Dragon Flute a fair review because I can taste faded hops. If there were a date on the bottle I'd know for sure, but I'd be willing to give it another whirl if they started dating their products. Nonetheless, I feel this beer has intense potential and I'd be willing to try a fresher sample someday.

Pours a mostly clear darker yellow golden color with white head. Light fruits, pineapple, mango, light citrus, some pine, and some bready notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with a nice balance between fruit, pine, and a malt backbone.

Lots of floaties, opaque golden orange, limited head and limited lacing. Very nice citrus aroma was enjoyable. Nice citrus hop flavor but a bit to much bitter, seems to be piney but it really comes across as bitter that lingers. Rather thin on feel. Okay, but not a great Pale Ale.

Drinking about 6 weeks old. Nice unfiltered orange brew with one finger head. Floral aroma from the hops. Taste is minty and piney but overall not bitter in the finish. Overall this is a nice pale ale but not quite in my wheel house. Still quite drinkable and enjoyable.

Poured a bright hah color with ample carbonation. It smelled very floral and earthy with dominant noted of pine. The flavors were exceptional for a low ABV beer. The malt backbone is mild with flavors primarily from the hops. It had most notable flavors of pine. It's very earthy, kind of has that weed flavor. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth. Different than NG Moon Man but both are excellent.

Has a hazy gold appearance with a quickly dissipating head.
Aromas of peach, citrus, herbal hop dankness and some malt sweetness.
Tastes are fruit forward with stone fruit, citrus and a pretty good hop presence.
A good lighter mouthfeel with a lingering bitterness and some malt sweetness.
Overall a flavorful pale that remains drinkable while having a good hop flavor.

Pours a slightly orangey hued golden yellow and slightly chill hazed.

Nice crisp citrusy notes of orange and lemon peel, slightly tropical fruit character of melon/guava, and a light sweet caramel note.

Tropical and citrus fruit notes with a sturdy caramel malt backbone.

Light-bodied, medium-high carbonation.

Overall, a very good and drinkable brew, but not my favorite for the style.

Had been reading about this one and was anxious to try it. Bought at Discount Milw. this morning. I had Fantasy Factory about a year ago and felt it was only average at best. This one is much better. It has a nice hop aroma and bite to it along with a nice mouth-feel as well. Will buy again. Hopefully it will become more widely available.

12oz bottle. Drank from a tulip glass along side 2 bratwursts on wheat buns with catsup, mustard, and giardiniera.

Caramel color is slightly hazed. It definitely comes across as more citrusy/juicy in the nose than a lot of other APAs, and that carries over into the taste. For me, so many APA's have an earthy dusty quality in the taste that doesn't do a lot for me, but this brew avoids that issues. I need to figure out what hop or malt is doing that to me so that I can start to look out for it and write my reviews accordingly. Overall, a nice mouth feel, and a solid beer. I will definitely have this again, and I will send it out as an extra to my trade partners around the country.

12oz bottle. Served in a snifter glass.

Pours a slightly hazy caramel body, one finger white head, fair retention time, thin collar, bits of lacing. Nice big whiff of citrus and a bit of pine comes out as I open the bottle. Smells of mild caramel, nice tropical fruit aroma, mild spiciness. It's not complex, but it is a nice aroma. Flavour is a solid caramel backbone, tropical fruit, a bit of a mild spicy rye-like finish, a bit of floral bitterness. Mouthfeel is appropriate for an APA, medium-lighter bodied, good carbonation, easy to drink, slightly above expected bitterness for an APA. Rye and floral bitterness on the backend. A solid APA with a nice hop bite and good balance.

Saturated orange with a light haze of suspended micro particles. Two fingers of sudsy foam, drippy lace around the edges, long lasting head retention.

Tropical papaya aroma at first, candied citrus peel, fades into earthy herbal bitter notes behind that.

Taste is a little more straightforward, an initial slight malt sweetness segues into dominant resiny herbal bitterness, dandelion greens and pine resin. Vague citrus, bitter orange peel. Light to medium bodied, carbonation peters out a bit. Heavy handed with the bittering hops, finishes dry with a strong resiny bitterness that lingers.

Overall it's good, not quite the juicy Mosaic bomb i'd hoped, but a pretty good APA nonetheless.

Just stumbled upon on at Discount in Milwaukee. Passes the first test as its name mentions a large reptile type beast. Has the look, smell and taste of a mosaic hopped beer which is good. Very easy drinking but still has tons good citrusey type flavor. Was looking forward to it coming out and appears to have been worth the wait. Going to have my go to Pseudo Sue next to see how it compares.

Super easy drinking brew from Karben4 . Clean crisp with a great easy finish. The lower ABV had me enjoying one after another. I highly recommend this beer one after another.

Golden orange color with one finger of head that dissapated quickly. Nose is dominated by peach, with other stone fruits and cirtus and a bit of bread coming through. Taste pops with peach, oranges, pineapple, with a slight sweetness that works well with the hops. Carbonation and body are on point for the style. Really enjoyable APA, I prefer this to the more well known Fantasy Factory.

Golden orange color, citrusy scent, very crisp and lively hoppy on the front, rather sparkly, and somewhat spicy lingering finish with a hint of bitter. Really liked this one.

Had this last night at K4. Beautiful lookng (deep hazy orange with white foam head), amazing aroma (love the massive orange and tangerine notes...I could just sit and smell this all day), wonderful taste (huge citrus notes...tangerine, orange, mild grapefruit & lemon). Got a sample of Fantasy Factory (one of my favorites) to do a side-by-side and while they're both lovely in their own rights, IMHO this edged out FF for me by virtue of the finish. YMMV.

Poured 12oz bottle into snifter. Light peach color with a 2 finger white head. Plenty of webbed lacing all over the glass. Smell is big on fresh, juicy tropical notes from the Mosaic and Centennial hops. Plenty of mango, pineapple, passion fruit, along with citrus. Some nice sweet honey and wheat to balance it out. Not quite a juicy as the nose, but very good. The hops work well together for tropical and citrus flavors. Rich tangerine, grapefruit, mango, pineapple. The flavor is so very nice on this APA. Nice mouthfeel with excellent carbonation. Very sticky and juicy. This is the best bottled APA made in WI. Rivals Door County Pete, which is only on tap.
