10oz on draft at Tornado Room, served in a chalice. Dark brown body, cola brown but fairly opaque, one finger mocha head, short retention, not much lacing. Smell is rich cocoa, molasses, light citrus, a bit of resin, milk chocolate, raisin cookies. Flavour is a fairly bitter zest up front, cocoa, milk chocolate, grainy sweetness, a bit of raisin and resin on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, fairly substantial, not difficult to drink by any means but is a reasonably hoppy porter.

In a word, aggressive: roasty, boisterous, and very hoppy, with plenty of pine and orange to tango with the richness of the molasses. Loads of roast...a big porter that reminds me of a jacked up Jose Marti.

Tasty hoppy and smooth. Not a whole lot in the smell but taste is chocolate and tropical hops. Mouthfeel is incredibly smooth and creamy. A very interesting addition to the Karben4 portfolio. Will certainly have again.
