Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours pitch black with a light brown head. Smells of coffee and chocolate. Tastes of very sweet chocolate. Beer is medium bodied yet easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Working through some older reviews that I forgot to post… This beer is made for Kwiktrip the ubiquitous Wisconsin gas station minimart chain. It is a homage to their coffee and doughnuts (which are pretty solid).
Poured from a 16 oz can into an imperial pint glass, the beer is black with some ruby highlights. It has a brown sticky head.
The aroma is of coffee, roasted malts and dark fruit. It is inviting.
The taste leads with coffee (not overpowering), something sweet. It reminds me a bit of a milk stout. The coffee taste stays prominent as you work through the beer and there is some slight bitterness and bready malts that emerge after a few sips. The bitterness is not from the hops but from either the coffee or the roasted malts.
The mouth is decent with just a touch of slickenss that is a bit mouth coating.
I like this brewery so I am not surprised that they pulled off a real nice beer.

Poured from a can from the brewery.
Look: Dark and not transparent. Very small head that dissipates quickly.
Smell: Smells like coffee and donuts, just as advertised.
Taste: The coffee bitterness and the sweetness balance each other out quite well. A slight hint of vanilla as well.
Feel: Smooth, rich mouthfeel. Slight stickiness on lips after drinking.
Overall: It does definitely seem like they achieved their goal of making a coffee and donut beer. They really nailed the balance between the coffee and the sweetness. I would drink this again and get it if I saw it in stock at Kiwk Trip.
