Pours mid to dark brown with a healthy layer of coffee colored fuzz. Carbonation is moderate. Aroma is coffee, malted grain and oats. Taste is chocolate with a bit of oats picking up the tail end. A roasted malt note comes through strongly here, which might be a bit overpowering. Overall, a standard oatmeal stout.

I got a bottle of this beer off the single shelf from a beer store in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. It poured an opaque dark with ecru head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had dark semi sweet chocolate notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with roast and chocolate presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.
